- Brij Chaurasi Kos Parikrama
Brij is considered the Leelasthali and the eternal abode of Lord Krishna. the "Brij Chaurasi Kos Yatra or Parikrama". The "84 Kosh Yatra" is the 252 kilometer (Chaurasi or 84 kos in Hindi) journey (pilgrimage) through the Braj region that includes 12 forests (Van), 24 gardens, 20 Kunds (ponds) and villages such as Barsana, Nand Gaon, Vrindavan, Mathura, Kosi, Radha Kund and Govardhan etc. It is a seven-day journey. - Goverdhan Parikrama
Mount Govardhan is located 25 km from Mathura on the road between Mathuraand Deeg. According to legend, Lord Krishna held this mountain (Giriraj Parvat) on his little finger for seven days and nights to save the Brajwasis from the heavy rains and storms caused by the wrath of Indra, the king of the gods.
